Dear Li Ming，
Did you ever have a fight with a good friend？It is a really bad feeling if friends don't talk to each other for a couple of days. That's how I felt last week.
You see，I had a big fight with Steven. He and I play on the same basketball team. Our last game was moved to an earlier time，but Steven didn't get my message，so of course he missed the game. He was angry ❶.He threw his basketball，and it hit me. Steven and I were ready to beat each other!
Thanks to ❷ Jenny，everything is OK now. We held a meeting yesterday. We had a good talk and solved our problems. We said sorry to each other.

知識點1
angry/'æŋɡri/ adj.生氣的；憤怒的
后面可以接動詞不定式。
eg：He is very angry to find that nothing has been done.
他發現什么都沒被做，很生氣。
angry常構成的結構：
be angry with sb.
生某人的氣
He was angry with his wife.
他生他妻子的氣。
be angry at/about sth./doing sth.
因(做)某事生氣
She was angry about/at missing the first bus yesterday.她因昨天錯過頭班公共汽車而生氣。
be angry with sb. for sth./doing sth.因某人(做)某事而生氣
I'm angry with you for your conduct.
因為你的行為，我生你的氣。

【點撥】考查angry的用法。be angry at/about sth.意為“因某事生氣”，故選C項。
angry的副詞是angrily。
eg：She left the room angrily.
她生氣地離開了房間。
知識點2
thanks to由于；多虧
eg：Thanks to his effort，it is more successful than we have expected.
由于他的努力，它比我們期望的更成功。
thanks to為固定搭配，thanks不可以改為thank you，to后也不接動詞原形，這個短語表示原因，to后接表示感謝的對象。
eg: Thanks to the language，we can learn a lot from other countries.
多虧這門語言, 我們能從其他國家學到很多東西。
