Amy: Sure, I’d love to! What time and where?
Jeremy: We’re meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the bus stop near our school.
Amy: How about lunch? Are you eating at the water park?
Jeremy: Well, I’m bringing my own lunch. I think some of the others are eating at the park, but the food there is really expensive.
現在進行時表示將來的用法
位移動詞的進行時表示將來：現在進行時表將來主要用于將要發生的動作，謂語通常為位移動詞，如：come, go, arrive, leave, start, begin, return, meet, get to, take off, fly 等。
I’m leaving tomorrow. 明天我要走了。
He is coming back this Sunday. 這個星期他就回來了。
Sam is taking advanced literature next term. 薩姆下學期要選修高級文學。
非位移動詞的進行時表示將來：現在進行時表示將來除使用位移動詞外，也可使用某些非位移動詞，如：do, buy, meet, have, play, publish 等，此時句中一般要有表示將來的時間狀語。
I am publishing a book this year. 我今年計劃出一本書。
Are you meeting your coach this weekend ? 這個周末你要和教練見面嗎？
She is buying a new bike soon. 不久她將買一輛新自行車。
在時間和條件狀語從句中，有時也用進行時表示將來情況。如：
Don’t mention me when you are talking with him.
當你和他說話的時候不要提起我。
If he is doing his homework, don’t bother him.
如果他要做作業，不要打擾他。
You must visit Switzerland when you are travelling in Europe.
你在歐洲旅行時一定要訪問瑞士。
其他表將來的表達方式
1. will/shall do表將來
She will come back next week.她將于下周回來。
注意：(1)will/shall do表示單純的將來，是對未來事情發生的“預見性”。will用于各種人稱，而shall一般用于第一人稱。
(2)表示事先未經過考慮的打算、計劃，是在說話時才想到或決定的事，即臨時起意，這時通常用will。
2. be going to do表將來
Are you going to watch the football game this afternoon?
你打算今天下午看足球賽嗎？
Look at the dark clouds！It’s going to rain.看這些烏云！天要下雨了。
注意： be going to do表示打算、計劃、安排或已經決定要做某事；還可表示根據某種跡象表明將要發生的事。
3. be to do表將來
You are to be back by 9 o’clock.
你必須(應該)9點以前回來。
注意：be to do表示按計劃中約定的或按職責、義務、要求必須去做的事或即將發生的動作。
4. be about to do表將來
You’d better fasten your seat belt. The plane is about to take off.
你最好系好安全帶，飛機馬上要起飛了。
注意：be about to do意為“剛要；正要”，表示即將發生的動作，不與具體時間連用。
