hundred，thousand
（1）與具體數字連用時，習慣上用單數，而且也不后接介詞of。
He was prepared to pay two million. 他愿意支付200萬。
More than a hundred people were injured. 有一百多人受了傷。
（2） 表示不確定的泛指數時，則要用復數，而且要后接介詞of，然后才能接名詞。如：
The sun was shining. Thousands of people were lying on the beach. 陽光燦爛，數以千計的人躺在海灘上。
there is/are 表示客觀存在
have/has 表示主觀擁有
1.在there be 句型中，主語是單數，be 動詞用is . 主語是復數，be 動詞用are 。
2.there be 句型的否定句在be 動詞后加not , 一般疑問句把be 動詞調到句首.
3.針對數量提問的特殊疑問句的基本結構是：
How many + 名詞復數 + are there + 介詞短語？
How much + 不可數名詞 + is there + 介詞短語？
