特殊疑問句是由特殊疑問詞引導的問句，通常為疑問語序，不能用Yes或No來回答。特殊疑問句的構成有兩種：
1．疑問代詞＋陳述語序的句子
2．疑問代詞(非主語)/疑問副詞＋一般疑問句
常見的疑問代詞有who, whom, whose和what等；疑問副詞有when, where, why, how，此外還有how many, how much, how long, how far等。
(1)疑問代詞＋陳述語序的句子 例如：
What is flying in the sky?
什么東西正在天上飛？
Who is going to take part in the sports meeting of the school?
誰將參加學校的運動會？
(2)疑問代詞(非主語)/疑問副詞＋一般疑問句
①詢問姓名、職業、外貌長相、性格、體重等用what提問；詢問身體狀況、年齡、身高、生活情況等用how提問。例如：
What do you do? 你是做什么工作的？
What is your name? 你叫什么名字？
How are you? 你(身體)怎么樣？
How tall is Li Ming? 李明多高？
