(一)一般將來時的用法
一般將來時表示將來某一時刻要發生的動作或存在的狀態，或將來某一段時間內經常性的動作或狀態；還表示打算、計劃或準備做某事，常與tomorrow, next week, soon等表示將來的時間狀語連用。一般將來時有兩種表達結構：“be going to＋動詞原形”和“will＋動詞原形”。如：
Li Ming is going to learn English next year.
李明打算明年學習英語。
They will go to Shanghai for their holiday.
他們將要去上海度假。
(二)句型結構
1. 肯定形式
(1)主語＋be(am/is/are)going to＋do(動詞原形)＋其他．(be動詞隨主語的變化而變化) 如：
I'm going to play basketball tomorrow. 我打算明天打籃球。
(2)主語＋will/shall＋do(動詞原形)＋其他. shall僅用于第一人稱。如：
They will go shopping this afternoon. 今天下午他們將去購物。
I shall go there tomorrow. 明天我會去那里。
2. 否定形式
(1)主語＋be(am/is/are)＋not＋going to＋do(動詞原形)＋其他. 如：
We aren't going to play basketball after class.
下課后我們不打算去打籃球。
(2)主語＋will/shall＋not＋do(動詞原形)＋其他. (will not?？s寫為won't) 如：
I will not(won't) go shopping next Sunday.
下周日我不會去購物。
3．一般疑問句形式
(1)Be(Am/Is/Are)＋主語＋going to＋do(動詞原形)＋其他？ 如：
Are you going to buy a new coat this winter?
今年冬天你打算買一件新大衣嗎？
(2)Shall/Will＋主語＋do(動詞原形)＋其他？ 如：
Will you play football after school?
放學后你們將要踢足球嗎？
