Let’s play a game:  That’s me!

e.g. When you hear “I’m a boy”, the boys stand up and say “That’s me!”,pointing to yourself like the picture.

Now talk about when the festivals are.

Write down the months and complete the sentences.

e.g. Spring Festival is in January or February.

Teachers’ Day is in September.   

Women’s Day is in March. 

Christmas is in December.

National Day is in October.

Children’s Day is in June. 

New Year’s Day is in January. 

May Day is in May.

Spring Festival is in January / February. 

Language points

1. Tom sawyer, by the famous American writer, Mark Twain. 

《湯姆 · 索亞歷險記》, 美國著名作家馬克 · 吐溫寫的。

by 在此處表示“由……(創作),出自”。

e.g.  Oliver Twist is a novel by Charles Dickens.

《霧都孤兒》是查爾斯· 狄更斯寫的。

It’s a painting by Van Gogh.

2. Hey, we can find out about him on the Internet.

喂,我們可以在網上找到關于他的資料啊。

find out意為“發現、查明、弄清”,多指通過調查、尋問、打聽、研究之后搞清楚,弄明白。如:

e.g. I hope we can find out about the case.

我希望我們能發現案件的真相。

find意為“找到、發現”,指通過尋找,發現某人、某物,強調找的結果。

look for意為“尋找”,是有目的地尋找,強調“尋找”這一動作。 

e.g.   I’m looking for my pen, but I can’t find it anywhere.

我正在找我的筆,但我到處都找不到。 

3.  Look at this! 

(1) Look!/ Listen!為祈使句,后面常用現在進行時態。

e.g. Look! The boy is running.

Listen! Someone is singing.

(2) 若有看或聽的內容,需加介詞。

e.g. Look at the boy.

Listen to me.

(3) look/ listen強調動作,see / hear強調結果。

e.g. Can you see a boy ? 你能看見一個男孩嗎?

Can you hear me?    你能聽見我說的話嗎?

不規則動詞表

不規則動詞表看起來復雜,但也有一些規律可以幫助我們記憶,一起來看看!

1. 原形和過去式同形,保持不變。如: read-read

2.在動詞原形后加一個輔音字母d或t。如: mean-meant,hear-heard

3. 把動詞原形的最后一個輔音字母“d” 改為“t” 。如: build-built

4. 把單詞在重讀音節中的元音字母“i”變成“a”。如: begin-began, drink-drank
