Key words and expressions
1. find & lose
find和lose都可作及物動詞，后面可直接接賓語。find的意思是“發現；找到”，lose的意思是“失去；丟失”。它們是一對反義詞。如：
I find an eraser on my desk.
我在我的課桌上發現一塊橡皮。
People often lose things when they're travelling or when they're in a hurry.
人們在旅行中或是勿匆忙忙時經常丟東西。

2. look for
look for是一個動詞短語，意思是 “尋找”。由于for是介詞，所以后面要接名詞或代詞作賓語，look for sth.意為“尋找某物”，使用時注意，look for不能分開使用。如：
I can help you look for the wallet.
我可以幫你找錢包。
They are looking for their phones, cameras, watches, computers and many other things.
他們正在尋找他們的電話、照相機、手表、電腦和其他許多東西。(由于本句中的時態是現在進行時態，所以要將動詞look變為現在分詞形式，即looking。)
[辨析] find和look for的用法
find和look for 都有“找”的意思，但含義不同。find 強調“找”的結果，而look for 強調“找”的過程。如：
He is looking for his bike.
他在找他的自行車。
I’m looking for my watch, but can’t find it.
我在找我的手表，但是找不到。
I hope you will soon find your lost ring.
