fall down 突然倒下；跌倒；倒塌
e.g. The house might fall down in a few months.

7. disagree v. 不同意 ；持不同意見；有分歧
前綴 (dis) + agree (同意)→disagree
disagree with sb. / disagree to do sth.
e.g. My father agrees, but my mother disagrees to go there
so late. 我爸爸同意，但我媽媽不同意如此晚去那兒。
8. believe v. 相信；認為有可能
believe sb. 相信某人說的話；believe + that 從句
e.g. I believe that you can finish the work on time.
我相信你會按時完成工作。
9. shape n. 形狀 pl.-s
e.g. What is the shape of your kite? 你的風箏是什么形狀的？
10. hundreds of 許多；大量= lots of
e.g. There are hundreds of flags in front of the building

11. over and over again 反復地；多次，
還可以說 over and over
e.g. They sang the song over and over.

12. possible adj. 可能的；可能存在或發生
(前綴)im+ possible →impossible 不可能的
e.g. Do you think it’s possible to beat them?

Language points
1. Fewer people will do such jobs in the future because they are boring, but robots will never get bored.
此句中的get bored 譯為“ 感到厭煩，感到無聊”。其同義詞為：be bored 二者的區別在于：get bored（強調動作） be bored （強調狀態） 英語中有很多過去分詞或形容詞都可以和get, be 連用。比如：tired，angry 等。例如：
► You won’t be bored when you are hungry.
當你餓的時候你就不會覺得無聊了。
► If you do the same things month after month, you may get bored.
如果你每月都做同樣的事情，你可能會感到厭煩。
2. It will be difficult to make them really think like a human. 把機器人做的像人一樣思考將會很難。
通常用it 做形式主語，將不定式和動名詞置于謂語后面，特別是主語較長時，或在一些習慣用法中。當謂語是系表結構（be + 形容詞/ 名詞）時，常將不定式后置，構成句型 “it + be + 表語（形容詞 / 名詞）+ 不定式”。如：
► It is not an easy thing to master a foreign language.
掌握一門外語不是件容易的事。

1)be able to “能夠……”
can & be able to
相同點: 兩者都表示能力
不同點: 1）can只有現在式和過去式。
2）be able to可用于現在時、過去時和將來時，但它沒有進行時。
4. But many scientists disagree with Mr. Whit.
但很多科學家不贊同懷特先生的觀點。
這里的“disagree with ”譯為“不同意；不一致；
不適合”。
固定搭配：
e.g.
► They disagreed with each other about the time and place of the accident.
他們在對事故發生的時間和地點彼此有分歧。
► I strongly disagree with his views.
我強烈反對他的見解。
► I disagree completely with Jack.
我完全不同意杰克的意見。
5.If buildings fall down with people inside, these snake robots can help look for people under the buildings.
如果建筑物倒塌，人還在里面，這些蛇形機器人可以幫助在坍塌的建筑物里搜救傷者。
fall down 的意思如下：
1）掉下，落下，跌倒：
► The old lady fell down in the street and broke her leg.
老婦跌倒在大街上，摔壞了腿。
2）拜倒，跪倒：
► They fell down before him.
他們拜倒在他面前。
3）倒塌：
► The old house soon fell down.
這座老房很快就倒塌了。
6. So I’ll probably just keep a bird.
keep: v. “保持；維持；喂養”
1) keep + sb. / sth. +形容詞 “使某人/某物……”
e.g. The job kept them busy for a year.
2) keep +形容詞 “保持”
e.g. The man ran up and down to keep warm.
3) keep + sb. / sth. doing “讓某人/某物繼續做某事”
e.g. She kept us waiting for her at the station for an hour.
4) keep + doing “繼續做，堅持做”
e.g. He kept running after her, trying to catch her.
7. I will live on a space station.
space 空間，空處 (可數)
► There is a space of 46 inches wide between the two bookcases.
► The road is bad for a space of two miles.
► We need more space to set it up.
► Is there any space left? 還有地方嗎?
space當太空講時是不可數名詞。
space station 太空站 space ship太空船 space suit宇航服
