Language points
1. If people have problems, they should try to keep them to themselves.
keep... to oneself意為“保守秘密”，如：
One must keep such interests to oneself.
有這類愛好不該讓人知道。
We should keep their worries to themselves.
我們應該為他們的憂慮保守秘密。
keep... to oneself 還可意為“不與人來往；不交際”，如：
Keep sb at arm’s length: not allow oneself to become too friendly with sb.
與某人保持距離；不使自己太親近某人。
2. Problems and worries are normal in life.
worries是名詞worry的復數形式，意為“令人憂傷的人或事”；
worry意為“煩惱,憂愁,憂慮”,指因遭遇困難或不如意的事而苦悶，是不可數名詞。如：
My chief worry is that he doesn’t have experience.
我的主要憂慮是他沒有經驗。
Her happiness at seeing him submerged her former worries.
她看到他非常高興，頓時完全忘記了先前的煩惱。
worry作及物動詞，意為“使擔心”；做不及物動詞，意為“ 擔心”。
worry about / over sth / sb意為“擔心某事/某人”。如：
Your worry is always triggered by some external event or happening.
你總是為一些外因或事情而煩惱。
Don’t worry, he'll be alright. 別擔心，他不會有事的。
I did not want to worry my friend. 我沒想麻煩我的朋友。
3. Her dad said he sometimes made careless mistakes himself.
careless做形容詞，意為“粗心的”“不小心的”,
在句中可用作定語或表語。如：
It was careless of you to leave the door unlocked.
你沒鎖門，太粗心了。
The careless waiter dropped the dish onto the ground.
那個粗心的侍者把盤子摔到了地上。
mistake意為“錯誤,過失”，可指沒有做對或做得不好的事物，也可指錯誤的想法或見解，還可指“誤解”或“誤會”。
mistake后可接介詞短語、動詞不定式、現在分詞作定語。接about表示“關于……的錯誤”，接in表示“某方面的錯誤”。make a mistake表示“犯錯誤”； by mistake表示“錯誤地”。
4. They got her a new wallet and asked her to be more careful.
get意為“買”，相當于buy，但不如后者正式。如:
Could you get me a ticket, please?
請給我買張票好嗎？
I usually get vegetables from that supermarket.
