1. Why can’t we take photos? 我們為什么不能拍照？
take photos“照相”。也用take pictures，還可以用take a photo (=take a picture)
We took some photos in the zoo. 我們在動物園里拍了一些照片。
其他拍照的說法：take a photo of sb. 給某人拍照， have one’s photos taken 請人給自己拍照。
I had my photos taken in front of Tian’an men Square.我請人在天安門廣場前拍了幾張照片。
2. It’s nearly noon.將近正午了。
nearly adv. “幾乎，差不多，將近”，其同義詞是almost。
It’s nearly eight o’clock. 差不多8點鐘了。
Nearly everyone knows him.
幾乎所有的人都認識他。
3. Maybe the pandas could eat some grass instead of bamboo. 也許熊貓可以吃些草來代替竹子。
instead of作為短語介詞，意為“代替”，后面常接名詞、代詞和V-ing形式。instead單獨使用的時候作副詞用，常位于句末。如：
