1. It's a special day to draw people's attention to the environment.
這是引起人們對環境的注意的特殊日子。
attention 名詞，“注意，留心”，主要用于短語中。
draw one's attention 意為“引起某人的注意”
He wants to draw his teacher's attention.
他想引起他老師的注意。
2. We should pick up that garbage!
有人應該撿起這些垃圾!
pick up 動詞短語，意為“拾起，撿起”，如果賓語是代詞，應放于兩詞中間。例如：
He picked up a piece of paper and put it into the dustbin.
他撿起一張紙把它放在垃圾箱里。
和pick up 結構相同的短語很多。
例如：put on（穿上），take off（脫掉），turn off（關上），turn on（打開），put away（收拾好），look up（查詞、字），try on （試穿）等，代詞作賓語時放中間，名詞作賓語放中間放后均可。
3. Each student could clean up a bit of the school yard. 每個學生能清理一塊兒校園。
each 形容詞，每一的，后加單數名詞。
each day 每天 each student 每個學生
a bit of 固定短語“一點兒，一些”，修飾不可數名詞，相當于a little。但a little 后不加of。例如：
I know a bit of (a little) English. 我懂一點英語。
另外，a bit 修飾形容詞或副詞。例如：
It’s a bit cold today. 今天有點冷。
