地球村
地球村，是說地球雖然很大，但是隨著廣播、電視、互聯網和其它電子媒介的出現，大家交流就像在一個小村子里面一樣便利。
“地球村”(global village)一詞是加拿大傳播學家M.麥克盧漢1967年在他的《理解媒介：人的延伸》一書中首次提出。麥克盧漢對現代傳播媒介的分析深刻地改變了人們——特別是當代青年人，對20世紀以及21世紀生活的觀念，他所預言的地球村在今天的社會已經變成了現實。在麥克盧漢看來，“地球村”的主要含義不是指發達的傳媒使地球變小了，而是指人們的交往方式以及社會和文化形態發生了重大變化。
地球村是互聯網的發展；是信息網絡時代的集中體現；是知識經濟時代的一種形式；而現代交通工具的飛速發展，通信技術的更新換代，網絡技術的全面運用使地球村得以形成。

如何有效地進行聽說訓練
1．聽懂文章大意
在聽力過程中，不能只在意單詞，要在意句子本身的意思，有些地方聽不懂沒關系，要了解整篇文章在說什么。
2．積累語言知識
整理每次聽力材料中的新知識點、新單詞，通過語境去記憶。
3．訓練聽說能力
聽說能力可以從聽寫、精聽、跟讀和復述四個方面來訓練。
(1)聽寫：先總體聽一遍材料，了解大意；然后聽文章句子，寫下來，倒回去再聽；直到把它完全寫出來。
(2)精聽：將聽力材料一字一句地寫下來，精確到標點符號。
(3)跟讀：先對照著文本，精聽至少三遍；然后嘗試以相同的節奏跟讀聽力材料，不斷地跟讀，理想情況下平均8遍之后可以跟上材料的語速。
(4)復述：整段復述(保證段落長度的復述時間不超過1分鐘)。
4．不要害怕犯錯誤
學習英語口語是在不斷犯錯誤的過程中練習、進步的。因此練口語應該積極主動，克服害羞心理，利用一切機會講英語。
