狀語從句的分類及用法
（二）不定式
1. 語法功能
有一些使役動詞和感官動詞接不定式作賓語補足語時，不定式要省略to。但在變為被動語態時，必須加上to。這些動詞有hear, see, watch, notice, let, make, have等。
eg: The boss made the workers work fifteen hours a day.
→The workers were made to work fifteen hours a day by the boss.
老板讓工人一天工作十五個小時。
2. 不定式的兩種結構
不定式作定語通常放在被修飾詞的后面。
作定語的不定式如果是不及物動詞，且與被修飾的詞之間是動賓關系，要在不定式后加上適當的介詞。
eg: He needs a room to live in.
他需要一個房間住。
Language points
1. in order to 為了，目的是
(1) in order to后跟動詞原形，意為“為了，目的是”。其否定形式為in order not to。
eg: Jane arrived early in order to get a good seat.
簡到得很早，目的是找個好座位。
(2) in order to可以與so that / in order that進行轉換。
eg: He got up early in order to catch the early bus. 他起得早，為的是能趕上早班車。
= He got up early so that / in order that he could catch the early bus.
2. be worried about 擔心
(1) be worried about sb. / sth.意為“擔心某人/物”，其中worried是形容詞，常用作表語。
eg: He is never worried about his English.
他從不擔心他的英語。
(2) be worried that...意為“擔心……”。
eg: I was worried that I didn’t have enough money.
我擔心我的錢不夠。
(3) worry about為動詞短語，意為“擔心”。
eg: Mrs Li always worries about her little son.
李女士總是擔心她的小兒子。
3. either... or... 要么……要么……；不是……就是……
eg: Either you or she can go shopping this afternoon.
今天下午你或是她能夠去購物。
(1) either... or... 指的是在兩者之中選擇一個，連接兩個名詞或代詞作主語時，謂語動詞的形式要遵循“就近原則”，即和離它最近的主語保持一致。用法類似的還有：
not only... but also..., neither... nor..., there be句型等。
eg: Either I or my brother is going to play computer games at home tomorrow.
明天要么我，要么我的弟弟將在家玩電腦游戲。
