【辨析】at the end of，in the end與by the end of
①at the end of意為“在······的末尾；在······結束時”，可以表示時間，也可以表示地點。
eg：You can put it at the end of your bed.你可以把它放在你的床尾。
②in the end意為“最后；終于”，與at last和finally同義。
eg：In the end he passed the exam.最后他終于通過了考試。
③by the end of意為“到······為止”。若后接現在的時間，則所在的句子通常用現在完成時；若后接過去的時間，則所在的句子通常用過去完成時。
eg：I have visited the Great Wall three times by the end of this summer.到今年夏天為止我已參觀過長城三次。
as long as意為“只要；既然”，用來連接句子，其用法如下：
①意為“只要”，引導條件狀語從句，主句為一般將來時或含有情態動詞can時，所引導的條件狀語從句用一般現在時表示將來。
eg：You will get good grades as long as you study hard.只要你努力學習，就會取得好成績。
②意為“既然”，引導原因狀語從句。
eg：As long as you want to stay at home，let's play chess at home.既然你想待在家里，那就讓我們在家下棋吧。
