語法講解
一般過去時表示過去發生的動作或存在的狀態。在敘述過去發生的事情,表達過去的狀態、過去的特征、過去的行為等時要用一般過去時,常和表示過去的時間狀語連用, 如yesterday, last year,just now, three years ago, in 1998等,謂語動詞要用過去式。
be動詞的過去式
(1)主語是第一、三人稱單數、不可數名詞、可數名詞單數時,be動詞為was。比如:I was...;
He/She was...; Tom was...;The air was...。
eg:He was born in America. 他出生于美國。
(2)主語是第二人稱或第一、三人稱復數或可數名詞復數時,be 動詞用were。 比如You/We/They
were...; Birds were...。
eg:The boys were in the classroom a moment ago.

hero / ' hɪərəʊ/ n.英雄
eg:The soldier acted like a real hero.
那個士兵的舉動像一個真正的英雄。
hero為可數名詞,其復數形式為heroes,類似的
單詞還有:tomato—tomatoes, potato—potatoes。
