should的用法
should 為情態動詞,后面接動詞原形,意為“應該;應當;可以”; should 的否定形式是should not / shouldn’t ,意為“不應當;不該”。
should 常見用法
用于糾正別人,意為“ 應該;應當”。如:
You shouldn’t drink and drive.
你不應該酒后開車。
用于提出或征詢建議,意為“ 該;可以”。如:
You should stop worrying about your children.
你不該再為孩子們操心了。
用于表示預期,意為“ 應該會;可能”。如
We should arrive before dark.
我們天黑以前應該能趕到。
Language points
1. What’s the matter with you? 你怎么了?
What’s the matter with you? 這個句子還有一個同義句:What’s wrong with you?
但回答的方法仍舊相同。
2. 病情一般都是have a …/has a…如:
I have a cold.
She has a cold.
I have a toothache.
She has a toothache.
I have a headache.
3. hurt 意為“受傷”,表示什么部位受傷。如:
My leg hurts. His legs hurt. Her arm hurts.
ache 、sore和hurt 的區別:
ache 是一個名詞后綴,表示部位疼痛。
tooth+ ache = toothache(牙痛)
head+ ache = headache (頭痛)
back+ ache = backache(背痛)
stomach + ache = stomachache(胃痛)
ear + ache = earache (耳朵痛)
heart + ache = heartache(心痛)
ache 這個單詞本身就是一個單獨的單詞,表示“疼痛”的意思,與tooth、head等單詞合在一起組成一個新的單詞,這就叫作復合名詞,發音為/ek/。
除此之外,我們以前還學過許多這樣的單詞,如:bedroom,snowman,watermelon, eggplant,newspaper等等都是復合名詞。
(2) sore 是一個形容詞,用來修飾名詞,指的是身體某一部位的酸痛。如:sore back, sore throat
(3) hurt是一個動詞,指“刺痛,使受傷痛”。如:
He hurts his leg. = His leg hurts. 他腿疼。
單個人名、地名或稱呼作主語,是第三人稱單數。如:
Xiao li looks like her mother.
小麗看起來像她的母親。
Beijing is in China. 北京在中國。
Uncle Wang often makes cakes.
王叔叔經常做蛋糕。
單數可數名詞或“this / that / the+單數可數名詞”作主語時,是第三人稱單數。如:
A horse is a useful animal. 馬是有用的動物。
This book is yours. 這本書是你的。
That car is red. 那輛小汽車是紅色的。
The cat is Lucy’s. 這只貓是露茜的。
