Because Robinson Crusoe meets him on a Friday. 

Language points

1. I’ve brought back many things I can use—food and drink,tools,knives and guns.  我帶回來了許多我能用的東西——食物和飲品、工具、刀和槍。

bring back  此處意為“帶回”

(1)接名詞作賓語時,放在back后或bring和back 之間均可;

(2)接代詞作賓語時,只能放在bring和back之間。

拓展:bring back  

(1)bring back 表示“使想起;使回憶起”。     

例:The trip brought back a lot of happy memories.這次旅行喚起了許多美好的回憶。

(2)bring …back to…表示“把……帶回到……”。

例:The old buildings brought us back to the long past ages.

那些古老的建筑把我們帶回到久遠的年代。

2. How long have they been here?

他們在這兒多長時間了?

現在完成時的特殊疑問句式

基本結構為:“疑問句+have/has + sb./sth. +動詞過去分詞+其他?”。

—How long have you worked in this company?   

你在這家公司工作了多久?

—For three years.   三年了。

Correct the sentences.

2. Friday made a small boat.

Robinson made a small boat.
