時 態
一、定義：
在英語中，不同時間發生的動作要用不同的動詞形式來表示，這種動詞的不同形式就叫做時態。
二、在初一和初二階段已經學過的時態：
一般現在時 動詞原形或 動詞+s / es
一般過去時 動詞過去式
一般將來時 will +V.
現在進行時 am/is /are +V. ing
過去進行時 was/ were +V. ing
現在完成時 have /has +P.P
三 、時態的用法
1、一般現在時：是表述現在或經常性的動作，狀態．
A. 表述現階段或經常性的動作，狀態。
他每天騎自行車上學。
He goes to school by bike every day.
B. 表客觀真理
地球繞著太陽轉。
The earth goes round the sun.
C. 表計劃，決定,時刻表。
The train leaves at 17:40.
D. 用于時間，條件，方式，讓步狀語從句中，表示將要發生的動作。
If you speak slowly, I understand.
If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we'll go on a picnic.

5. 過去進行時
1. 構成： was / were + doing
2. 用法一：
表示過去某時正在進行的狀態或動作。
I was reading a book at 5 p.m. yesterday.
What were they doing just now?
My mother was washing clothes at 9 last night.
What was he researching all day last Sunday?
用法二：表示在過去的某個時間，前后兩個動作是同時進行的。
S1: What were you doing while Li Jie was getting ready to go out?
S2: I was sleeping while Li Jie was getting ready to go out.
S1: What were you doing while she was tavelling on the underground?
S2: I _______ while she was travelling on the underground.
用法三： 描述一件事發生的背景；一個長動作發生的時候，另一個短動作發生。
My brother fell while he was riding his bicycle.
It was raining when they left the station.
過去進行時常與when, while連用，意思是
"當……之時"。
while后面一般跟延續性動詞，常用進行時；
when后面既可跟延續性動詞，也可跟瞬間動詞，常用過去式。
